The milling department can count on 10 machine tools including 8 CNC and for the most part ISO 50, capable of processing all the toughest materials used in the field of aerostructures (15-5PH, titanium, 4130/4340 steels and Nikel alloys). The maximum milling capacity on the 5 axes is 5000 mm.
The turning department is made up of 10 cu 8 CNC lathes and a turning capacity up to 1200 mm. In particular, the Consortium specializes in the machining of flanges used in aircraft engines and aeroderivative products in the OIL & GAS sector. The most processed materials are Nikel (Inconel 625/718 / Waspaloy / Naimonic) as well as stainless steels and titanium.
The Consortium is equipped with a grinding department that has 8 machines including universal external / internal round grinding, flat grinding and planetary grinding in a controlled environment, up to a latest generation 5-axis grinding, capable of producing turbine blades. with centesimal tolerances working the whole family of Renè materials (high Cr Ni content).
The Consortium uses EDM (Electro-Discharge Machining) or Electro-erosion technologies for the processing of profiles and complex shapes of structural details for aerospace propulsion. The Consortium currently has the process qualifications approved by GE Aviation and Rolls Royce. The department consists of 8 EDM machines, both wire and plunge.
